Give Your Baby a Healthy Start

The Healthy Start program is available to all pregnant women and mothers with infants in Seminole County. This program is voluntary and eligibility is not based on financial factors. A free health screening is provided at your first visit with a doctor or at the hospital after your baby is born. The health screening helps to identify if your baby is at-risk for:

  • Pre-term birth

  • Health problems

  • Fetal/infant death

  • Low birth weight

  • Developmental delays

Benefits and Services:

Healthy Start helps all women obtain the following medical services, social services and instructional support. Assistance is available in Spanish (Hablamos Español).

All you have to do is say "YES" to the Healthy Start Screening!

You can simply sign up for Healthy Start by asking your doctor or midwife for your Healthy Start Screening Form for your Healthy Start Screening from your Doctor or midwife, or ask your hospital staff for the form when your baby is born.
