DOH-Seminole Hosts Men’s Health Huddle Event

Sanford, Fla. — In recognition of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, the Florida Department of Health in Seminole County (DOH-Seminole), in partnership with the City of Sanford and Unity Youth Association, invites men of all ages to attend the Men’s Health Huddle event on Saturday, September 27, 2025.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. – noon at the following location:

Dr. Velma H. Williams Westside Community Center
919 S. Perimmon Ave.
Sanford, FL. 32771

The event includes a basketball game, interactive yard games, BBQ, and valuable information about prostate health. No registration is needed for this event.

Prostate cancer is the number one diagnosed cancer in the United States for men. It is estimated that one in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lifetime. Men ages 50 and older are encouraged to speak to their primary health care provider about screening.
