Sanford, Fla. True Health and the Florida Department of Health in Seminole County (DOH-Seminole) invites residents to the grand opening and ribbon cutting of True Health’s newest location. The event will take place on Wednesday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at DOH-Seminole, located on 400 West Airport Boulevard, Sanford.

True Health, a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) community health center, has served low-income, uninsured, underinsured, and underserved populations in Central Florida since 1977. This organization operates nine service delivery locations within Orange and Seminole Counties, which includes six neighborhood health centers, one Express walk-in center and two school-based health centers.

Clients can obtain the following health services: 

  • Adult Healthcare
  • Pediatric Healthcare
  • Diagnostic Lab
  • Enrollment Assistance in State Benefits

“I am excited for the opening of our newest location in Seminole County,” said Latrice Stewart, Chief Executive Officer of True Health. “I am confident the opening of this health center will serve as a valuable resource to the community and improve the health and wellness of the residents in this county and surrounding areas for years to come."

True Health provides services in areas throughout Central Florida, which are Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) designated as medically underserved populations and health professional shortage areas. Furthermore, it is recognized as a patient-centered medical home with full accreditation by Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC).

"This is a great day for the residents of Seminole County,” said Dr. Swannie Jett, Health Officer for DOH-Seminole. “I believe that access to quality health care is an important building block that helps our community prosper and grow.”
