June Mobile Health Unit Calendar

Sanford, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Seminole County’s (DOH-Seminole) mobile health unit is scheduled to provide services at the following locations during the month of June.

  • 6/7 - Christian Sharing Center - 600 North Highway 17-92, Suite 158 from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • 6/8 - Grace and Grits - 401 East Seminole Boulevard from 5 to 9 p.m.
  • 6/14 - Altamonte Springs Mobile Home Park – 181 Lake Shore Drive from noon to 5 p.m.
  • 6/15 - Remington Inn & Suites - 450 Douglas Avenue from noon to 5 p.m. 
  • 6/21 - Christian Sharing Center - 600 North Highway 17-92, Suite 158 from 1 to 5 p.m.
  • 6/22 - Grace and Grits - 401 East Seminole Boulevard from 5 to 9 p.m.
  • 6/28 - Casselberry Health Office - 132 Sausalito Boulevard from noon to 5 p.m.  
  • 6/29 - Goodwill - 4516 West State Road 46 from noon to 5 p.m.

The homeless, uninsured, and underinsured populations will be able to obtain health services, screenings, and referrals. Individuals with chronic diseases such as diabetes can also utilize the mobile health unit. Services will not be limited to specified populations at special outreach events. Health services include:

  • Family Planning – Birth Control and Rechecks, Annual Physical, Pregnancy Testing, Vasectomy, Referrals and Free Condoms.
  • Immunizations – Child and Adult, Flu and Pneumonia.
  • Physicals – School.
  • Screenings – Diabetes, Hypertension, Cholesterol, Heart Disease, Body Mass Index (BMI), and Blood Pressure.
  • STD, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis – Testing, Screening, and Education.
  • Referrals – Follow-up Care, Smoking Cessation and more.
  • WIC – Nutrition and Breastfeeding Counseling and WIC EBT Eligibility.

DOH-Seminole’s mobile health unit is staffed by Healthcare Professionals. The mobile health unit accepts Medicaid HMOs, offers insurance billing and payment options including VISA and MasterCard.
