The Public Health Preparedness Office strives to ensure that essential public health services are maintained during natural or man-made emergencies and disasters affecting Seminole County.
We collaborate closely with Seminole County Government, the State of Florida, federal emergency service agencies, local hospitals, volunteer organizations, and religious and charitable groups to enhance community resilience.
Project Public Health Ready (PPHR)
Our office is proud to have earned the Project Public Health Ready (PPHR) recognition—a prestigious, criteria-based public health preparedness program that evaluates local health department capacities to effectively plan for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies.
PPHR's mission is to safeguard the public’s health by enhancing infrastructure and empowering local health departments with sustainable tools to plan, train, and conduct exercises using a continuous improvement model.
