Seminole County, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Seminole County (DOH-Seminole) is monitoring rabies among wild animals in the area. This is in response to a single confirmed case of rabies in a bat that was captured in the area near 4200 Dike Road in Winter Park in Seminole County on October 23, 2025. All residents and visitors should be aware that rabies may be currently present in the wild animal population.

Sanford, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health in Seminole County (DOH-Seminole) invites women in Seminole County to attend the Mobile Mammogram Screenings on Friday, October 17, 2025. This event is in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to spread important health education and encourage women to receive regular screenings to promote early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
